Hi all,

It really saddens me to say that this reviewing project will be suspended as of today. I will post as much as possible, but I have been given stalemate or even no replies from the others in the group.

Basically, I take it as my fault.

I am a busy guy in my college and I have been putting at least 90% of my time in reality, 9% at rest and 1% on facebook. I can't promise anything of now. The only people I can contact and might reply would be Dualnames from AGS and BleakAngel. However, his work at IGC(A) is also taking alot of his time.

When will it be continued?

I don't really know. I have checked my counters, few people have come to see this.

As for the 5 followers who follow this blog, on behalf of the team, I thank you and appreciate you.

However, if we ever come back or if a decide to make this a standalone individual project, I will do some advertising on forums, tweak the team and also ramp up the reviews instead of having short, periodic and sporadic ones like my previous few.

Meanwhile, I have to be back to play Eternally Us for the fifth time which is on AGS, a collaboration by Calin Leafshade and Ben304, two of the best AGS game creators, programmers and designers in its history. A simple, short game which story runs deep and leaves a lasting impression.

On a final note,

Stay with us and at least in the minimum, I promise something will start when I am free.

It's been a week already since updates.
Well, I'm a busy person (obviously,) and so are the people who want to commit themselves to this.
Anyway, we currently have Geremy and Mafia who have confirmed that they would be working here. I'm still on talks with the rest, so we should all just hope that things get over and done with by the end of the next week.

Meanwhile, in the face of all these planning, I've squeezed in some time to play a few games made with the AGS and also get Geremy to do some comments. I won't be doing reviews here. (I said comments, for Chzo's sake)

These games date back last year and beyond, and I can't guarantee that you have not played them yet. Well, if you really have not, this is your chance. These games are the cream of the crop and they did make me sit at the edge of my chair (whilst playing, of course). Hope you like them.

The McCarthy Chronicles - Calin Leafshade

The link leads to Calin's (the creator) blog. You will find download and donation links there. The gameplay style is common amongst Indie developers, but the overall game was really good.

A Second Face - The Eye of Geltz is Watching Us - Le Woltaire

Warning: This game contains frontal nudity, sexual dialogue and sexual scenes. It is a game more for adults, or preferably more for people who are not easily offended. The link leads to the game's official website. Le Woltaire has proved to be a consistent developer of groundbreaking indie adventure games and this game is no less than him at his very best.

'A light-hearted but refreshing game that is sure to add to the library of Ben304's masterpieces.'
Direct link to the BBC page. This game is a short one compared to the first two but is still one of my favourites. I am a fan of Ben's works; short but sweet, fulfilling the ideologies.

Ok.
Basically, I'm starting a reviewing project for AGS games.
Initially, I wanted to start my very own AGS game review page.
However, I made some good friends around the globe who share the same vision as me. Suddenly, it struck me that it would be much better if I had them at my side, reviewing games with me. Perfect.

Thus, I'm on my way now gathering a group of motivated individuals who live by the name of critique. Sit tight, they will be fully asesembled soon.

Anyway, welcome to my world. My world of AGS game reviews. Feel free to contact me at the AGS forums (aka Big Blue Cup). I go by the alias Taeyang as well. I won't really entertain blog comments.

6) Looking for Scripting and Bug Analyst interested in the reviewing project - We currently have 4 individuals showing interest. Closing date will be on the 3rd of February 2010. Final Decisions are on their way.

Basically, each of us will grade a certain aspect of the game (e.g. Mafia grades Scripting and Storyline, Geremy grades artwork etc.) and a final score (upon 10 - at the moment) will be given. Edit: Recently, people have been asking what the Bug/Scripting analyst's job will be. Basically, the job is simple. What we call Bug-Scripting is actually just reviewing the game's general scripting, how much effort the guy's put into his/her game and also whether he/she bothered to remove all the bugs from his/her game. The analyst gives a rating, and we'll come to a final decision on the score we would like to give to the game reviewed. (This was what I sent to AGS's Dualnames in a PM, hope you wouldn't mind)

We are even thinking of giving away awards and prizes (monetary, you greedy bastards) to those who claim high grades. This is mostly independent of Big Blue Cup's rating, players' rating and also the AGS Panel's comments. We review in our own perspective and award, critique and discuss in our own perspective as well.

Either way, updates should come soon. Talks are on the way.

We are currently reaching out, looking for anyone in the AGS who is interested in reviewing the scripting and bugs part for us in this project. Of course, standard English, a good eye for detail and passion in reviewing would definitely be plus points. Please PM me, Taeyang, at the AGS forums (Big Blue Cup) for inquiries, suggestions and submissions.
